They really enjoy whenever a traveler shows up and will try to earn the right to be your self guided tour guides (sometimes only during the day
, but it might also be for the whole trip
). Dogs will accompany cyclists 
for long hours, running ahead or after the bikes
, through the villages and even joined them on camping spots
, hikes or trekkings. These dogs are like bona fide guides, they lead the way, pause patiently while you take photos
, bark if you stray off course, and skillfully navigate tricky terrain like muddy patches.
They are just asking for a treat or two, 
and of course they enjoy your company above all.
