Trekking and Camping Cochamó – La Junta- 2 DAYS

FIRST DAY: We will pick you at your hotel and drive to Cochamó, then we will start the trekking, the walk through the valley to the campsite La Junta, the slope is generally low and most of the trekking is done under the shade of the dense forest.
Ahead we will have a 10 kilometer trek through the Valdivian cold forest, between 4 and 6 hours to complete it.
The difficulty is moderate and the main challenges are the mud and the rain that is almost certainly we will find.
But this path between waterfalls, rivers, larches and ferns has a special magic that will compensate all the effort to be there.
The first milestones will appear and the crossing of a suspension bridge over the Cochamó River, something for which this valley is very famous, are the granite walls and hills, which makes this place very attractive for climbers, it is even called the Yosemite of the southern hemisphere!!
On one side of Camping La Junta there is a curious natural slide with a remarkable waterfall, it is one of the most popular places in the valley.
The journey takes all day, lunches, dinner, breakfast, water and snacks are included, good trekking shoes will be a plus.
We will camp at La Junta and eat there, rest on our tents and in the morning we will have breakfast and visit the natural slide and then start the return journey to Puerto Varas.
ALL CAMPING EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED (tents and sleeping bags).
